This centre has 20 beds in a building has a dementia friendly design with inputs from Stirling University, UK. The center includes wards, a large activity room, consultation and therapy rooms and a lovely garden on the terrace. Solar panels, CCTv cameras, kitchen and lifts are other features. A multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, nursing assistants and psychologists will be available.
The land was donated by Mr. A. Damodaran and his family with, Sundaram Finance Limited, Sundaram Fasteners Limited, Murugappa Educational and Medical Foundation, The RAMCO Cements Ltd, Brakes India Pvt Ltd, and other companies being the major donors.
