In pursuit of the perfect theme for our tenth anniversary, we found ourselves, on a seemingly ordinary Tuesday, gifted with a profound insight: “Ninaivo Oru Paravai”– Just like life’s simplest truths, it was there all along, waiting to be seen.
Dr. Sridhar Vaitheswaran , Additional Director & Consultant psychiatrist at the SCARF,Schizophrenia Research Foundation. He has been the visionary head of theDEMCARES project since 2015. Dr. Sridhar’s interests lie in building capacity among health care staff and developing services to improve care of persons with dementia in Chennai.
And here we are to celebrate a remarkable milestone with you: a whole decade dedicated to dementia care!This decade-long journey wasn’t just about time’s passage; it’s a testament to the profound difference we’ve made, driven by love, patience, and unwavering commitment. For us, Dementia care is a mission incredibly close to our hearts.

Following the theatrical performance of The Father, a powerful portrayal of the emotional and cognitive journey of a person living with dementia, a special panel discussion will take place. The panel will feature our chief guest, esteemed healthcare professionals, and a caregiver of a person living with dementia. Together, they will reflect on the themes of the play, share insights from lived and clinical experiences, and discuss the importance of empathy and support in dementia care.
